The Cancer Updates GI and Breast Conference consists of educational activities designed to meet the needs of medical oncologists, pharmacists, advanced practitioners, and nurses involved in the treatment of gastrointestinal and breast cancers. The agenda is comprised of presentations that break down the most clinically relevant information applicable to community care. This dinner program is hosted as an in-person event only.

    • Review recent clinical advances in the treatment of gastrointestinal (GI) and breast cancers, with a focus on the most relevant data from recent studies and clinical trials.

    • Evaluate the role of emerging therapies in GI and breast cancer treatment, including new medications, targeted therapies, and immunotherapies.

    • Apply evidence-based strategies to improve patient outcomes in community oncology settings, focusing on the integration of new treatment approaches.

    • Assess and manage side effects and toxicities associated with current and emerging therapies in GI and breast cancer patients.

    • Discuss multidisciplinary care approaches that enhance collaboration between oncologists, pharmacists, nurses, and advanced practitioners in treating GI and breast cancers.

  • In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Amedco LLC and Total Health. Amedco LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
