Total Health's 2023 Community Oncology Educational Discussion South Florida Dinner Series (COEDS) will consist of educational activities designed to meet the educational needs of medical oncologists, pharmacists, advanced practitioners, and nurses involved in the treatment of breast cancer. The agenda is comprised of multidisciplinary, case-based presentations that will break down the most clinically relevant information applicable to community care. These  dinner programs will be hosted as an in-person events only.

Accreditation Information | 1.50

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Amedco LLC and Total Health.  Amedco LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Nurses (ANCC) Credit Designation

Amedco LLC designates this activity for a maximum of 1.50 ANCC contact hours.

 

Physicians (ACCME) Credit Designation

Amedco LLC designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.50 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

 

Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians (ACPE) Credit Designation

Amedco LLC designates this activity for a maximum of 1.50 knowledge-based CPE contact hours.


NOTE to Pharmacists: The only official Statement of Credit is the one you pull from CPE Monitor. You must request your certificate within 30 days of your participation in the activity to meet the deadline for submission to CPE Monitor. 

Learning Objectives

  • Employ an understanding of personalized medicine to individualize the use of available drugs for breast cancers. 

  • Communicate the efficacy and safety of the drugs discussed in the case studies and other emerging treatments for breast cancers. 

  • Understand the emerging and standard diagnostic tests used to assist in planning therapy for breast cancers. 

  • Formulate management strategies, considering the contributory roles of local and systemic therapy. 

  • Recall the design of ongoing clinical trials evaluating novel investigational agents and counsel appropriately selected patients about availability and participation.
